I drew on India experience, says Maxwell after record-breaking World Cup ton

Swashbuckling all-rounder Glenn Maxwell fired a record-shattering ODI World Cup ton -- fastest ever -- off just 40 balls as Australia blew away Netherlands in a one-sided affair in the national capital on Wednesday. On his way to a mind-boggling 44-ball 106, Maxwell smashed nine fours and eight sixes to power Australia to a mammoth 399 for eight. Maxwell, who was averaging 12.4 in ODIs in 2023 and hadn't hit a half-century in India in ODIs since the start of 2017 after that match said he drew on his experience of playing in India, including the IPL to fire the record ton.
